Punks Jump Up‘s “Get Down” EP reflects the styles of modern youth disco culture. In the original, a crisp synth lead bobs around some punchy kicks and claps while a lead vocal asks women in the club what we’re all thinking when we’re a few drinks deep, “Why you tryin’ to walk past me girl, come spend some time with me”
The EP comes packaged with remixes from JBAG, Alex Gopher, Fare Soldi, Zero Cash and Deadstock 33s.
After a few listens, my personal favorites are Gopher’s acidic big room rework as well as JBAG and Zero Cash’s tropical house versions.
Listen to clips of each mix bellow and watch for the release of Get Down January 30th on Kitsuné.
