To be honest, I’ve stayed away from MiMOSA mostly because I’ve always associated him with festival-step acts (jam-tronica bands and djs who share a large cult following among hippie-dubstepers; see also Big Gigantic, Disco Biscuits, STS9, Shpongle etc.)

Bellow is an example of why not to pre-judge an artist.
