Rumor has it, @Deadmau5 was playing a set and @RuskoOfficial was chillin backstage enjoying dank vibes. Rusko decided to light one up while Zimmerman played his ‘Three Little Birds Deadmau5 fix’ and Zimmerman apparently flipped out and called security or something. Then Rusko started a twitter battle.

I personally think Deadmau5 gets more shit than he deserves and he just released a double rainbow remix, so at the moment I’m on #teamdeadmau5. But who knows, maybe he was bein’ a lil bitch. Maybe this is all another promotional stunt for /\/\/\Y/\ .

[UPDATE] I remember seeing this ad in the movie theater. It looks like Deadmau5 has teamed up with Above the Influence to take down drugs and dubstep.

    This has become such a retarded game of telephone that the real story is impossible to find. Deadmau5 probably didn’t want bad rep because rep for marijuana use and celebrities isn’t very good in the U.S. Just look at what happened Michael Phelps (or whatever the fuck his name was). He lost lots of his sponsorship after that pic was released.

    Rusko was trying to create bad rep for Deadmau5 because he was jealous. So he lit up a joint (trying to make it extra obvious he was doing it during Mau5′s set) and made an attempt at jewishly screwing over the mau5. The mau5 is simply to mindful and witty to let such an act of weazel douchebaggery (much like what occured to promote the popularity of Rusko’s genre of shitmusic *cough* drugstep *cough*) occur. He “taught he saw a pooty-tat” and he did. SO he got Grandma (the police) to assrape the fuck out of him.

    I think that both Deadmau5 and Rusko are awesome at what they do, both completely different genres. I’ve been a Deadmau5 fan way before he gained commercial success and before I started listening to Rusko, so I’m more on his side. I don’t think Rusko needed to make such a big deal about the whole pot incident.
    Like Joel says on his discussion board, Rusko was just trying to ride the tail of Deadmau5′s success. But regardless of who hates who the most in this, I’m still a huge Deadmau5 fan, and I still like Rusko’s music for what it is.

Listen to it, love it, and respect the artists for their own individuality….if there weren’t hundreds of genres and sub-genres of music, we could all be stuck listening to only one genre from one artist…and where would the fun in that be?!!?
