Death From Above 1979 – Black History Month (Stopmakingme Remix)
11. April 2011

Here’s something to listen to while you’re packing for Coachella: a brand new DFA1979 remix from UK talent, Stopmakingme. This gorgeously understated take on “Black History Month” builds like a scratch you can’t itch until a righteously rad baseline drops. It sounds like Stopmakingme tore a page out of Tiga’s book to help him create this minimal masterpiece.

I asked him when this mix was made and he got back saying, “Yeah it was made this month. It’s to help promote their comeback. They are one of my favorite bands of the last decade so I jumped at the chance.”

Good thing this is new because it’d be a crime if it wasn’t included on the DFA remix comp.
